Reminder: Online meeting on gas adsorption: 9th – 10th November 2021

After the successful Adsorption Week in April 2021, 3P Instruments will again organize an online meeting on the topic of gas adsorption for the characterization of surfaces and pores. The event takes place on 9th and 10th November 2021. The program will start at 9:30 am (UTC +1) and end at around 3:30 pm each day. The event is free of charge for academic participants! We are pleased to announce that the following presenters will provide insight into their current research:

  • Prof. Dr. Pascal Van Der Voort (Ghent University, Belgium): “From mesoporous silica to covalent organic frameworks: a journey through the porous materials of the last decades: some special case-studies”
  • Prof. Dr. Nicola Hüsing (University of Salzburg, Austria): “Hierarchically Organized Porous Monoliths: Synthesis and Characterization”
  • Prof. Dr. Maksim S. Mel’gunov (Boreskov Institute of Catalysis, Novosibirsk, Russia): “The possibilities and restrictions of machine learning for identification of adsorption-desorption hysteresis types”
  • Dr. Sven Elbert (Heidelberg University): “Triptycene-based Porous Materials”
  • Dr. Denys Grekov (IMT Atlantique, Nantes, France): “Adsorption of gases by clay minerals in presence of water”
  • Dr. Jens Möllmer (Institute of non-classical chemistry (INC), Leipzig, Germany): “Characterization of activated carbon from VRU plants”
  • Dr. Sebastian Ehrling (3P Instruments, Leipzig, Germany): “Impact of temperature on adsorption processes”
  • Francesco Walenszus (3P Instruments, Leipzig, Germany): “Recording of single and multi-component isotherms using dynamic methods”
