New: Turbiscan TOWER – The reference method for direct stability analysis of dispersions

The Turbiscan® technology has been used worldwide for over 25 years to detect at an early stage all kinds of destabilisations such as coalescence, flocculation, creaming, sedimentation… Emulsions, suspensions, or foams can be studied at full concentration range (up to 95 % (v/v)) without dilution or sample preparation. Combining the SMLS (Static Multiple Light Scattering) technology with the knowledge in formulation science, Turbiscan has become the solution of choice for a complete dispersion characterization (dispersibility, particle size, physical stability and redispersion).
The Turbiscan TOWER is the new flagship product of the Turbiscan range for full characterization of the dispersion stability of concentrated formulations (emulsions, suspensions, foams). Six independent measurement positions allow simultaneous comparison of formulations for faster and better understanding of destabilisation mechanisms (creaming, sedimentation, flocculation, coalescence…). Dispersion Analysis can be performed from 4 to 80°C to accelerate the destabilization process or to reproduce storage conditions. The new, improved mechanical design and vertical set-up offer better performance and a smaller bench footprint.
Turbiscan is the reference technology for direct physical stability analysis. With hassle-free sample preparation, intuitive software and highly reliable measurements, Turbiscan has become an irreplaceable tool for any formulator. The instrument works with up to six samples at a time (disposable glass cells of 4 or 20 mL) and allows the analysis of liquid dispersions but also foams and viscous products thanks to specially designed measurement adapters. Turbiscan technologies are compliant with the International Organization for Standardization guidelines for the characterisation of dispersion stability (ISO/TR 13097).
