NEW: mixSorb series for dynamic vapor sorption expanded to 9 different models

Besides the current demand for classical texture and surface characterization of porous materials regarding BET surface area, pore size distribution and pore volume analysis, there is a rising need for techniques requiring mixed gas and vapor adsorption. To determine the relevance of materials for practical applications such as gas purification and gas/vapor separation processes, dynamic adsorption of gas mixtures and breakthrough curves provide information about material properties. In order to cater to the different requirements of potential customers and their scale of application in laboratories (mixSorb S series) and industrial sample sizes (mixSorb L series), the mixSorb instrument family has been expanded by a number of standard models.

In detail, the new models are:

  • mixSorb LHP model: High pressure version for technical adsorption on pellets and granules at up to 68 bar.
  • ambient models: Instrument versions for applications requiring ambient pressure (such as air purification, gas mask filters, etc.) or material sciences with no requirement of elevated or specific pressures.
  • eco models: financially more efficient versions of the standard models, which had some features removed in order to be more cost efficient. For example, these models come with a much more cost-efficient vapor option. Fully automated analysis cycles and analytically relevant components such as high-end MFCs and TCDs are still included.
